Minimum of 15 years experience with offshore oil and gas in senior operational safety roles.
Minimum 10 years relevant supervisory experience.
Degree qualified or with relative industry experience.
Knowledge and application of internationally recognized HSE management systems
(ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 or others).
Skilled in Emergency Response development and Management
Strong knowledge of work processes and risks of offshore platform operations facility activities.
Excellent verbal and written English skills.
Able to develop Incident investigation and reporting systems company wide
Experienced in implementation of Safety Programs i.e. STOP /Step Back 5x5
Lead Risk Assessment and Mitigation Processes
Safe Work Practices including PTW / ISSoW knowledge

Proven track record of effective HSE leadership within the oil & gas industry.
A sound knowledge of oil industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Ability to manage and liaise with Directors, Partners & Senior contract representatives on behalf of the company
Self-starter, well-organized, pro-active, and able to meet strict deadlines
Good supervisory and leadership skills, along with communication and interpersonal skills
Able to develop and implement a corporate safety audit programme
Persuasive and influencing, especially with regard to local cultures / relations
Knowledge of all aspects of HSE corporate safety; offshore operations, helicopter & marine services, high pressure gas processing, joint venture requirements
Excellent personal safety behaviors and able to influence the same within his team and the organization as a whole.
Proactive to observe deficient behaviors and intervene & correct as required.
First Aid Training & Emergency Response Team & Support Team experience required.
Ensure monthly group safety meetings are conducted and documented.
Development of all required emergency response procedures and safe working practices.
Manage the selection of HSE system.
Establish team safety culture, health and environmental plans and ensure safe ways of working are fundamental values for Daewoo E&P.
Develop & introduce substance abuse program / policies
Environment; implement procedures and programs to ensure international standards are met and no impact to the environment from Daewoos operations.
Implement safety campaigns.
Create HSE plan and ensure implementation
Develop & introduce periodic safety training
Assist with identifying and focusing on mitigating the highest risks for the facility.
Define safety inputs & outputs; KPIs to achieve continuous improvement.
