Process Engineer, Supervising NOVA

Seeking a Supervising Process Engineer, Onshore to provide ethylene expertise on a new role working out of our clients Houston office; interfacing with the Canada office where the project is based.
Responsibilities may include;
Providing ethylene expertise including computer modeling and review of licensor documents.
Completing a wide variety of assignments from conceptual design, to process flow diagram development to P&ID design. Engineer must be familiar with regulatory requirements and with national standards relative to Process Design for this level of Process Engineering along with good communication and writing skills. Must be able to complete tasks using the more advanced elements of Process simulation and computer software and is able to supervise teams of 4-6 engineers.
Directing technical engineering assignments and coordinating project staffing assignments and reassignments as needed.
Conducting performance evaluations, taking corrective action as necessary, recommending promotions and salary actions, and recommending training and development for assigned personnel.
Ensuring discipline design work is coordinated with project staff and Engineers from other disciplines by maintaining clear and frequent communications.
Recommending design methods, equipment use, etc., for discipline standards.
Determining budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
Providing managerial and technical direction, making decisions and/or obtaining additional technical staff assistance as the situation warrants. This may include obtaining the services of consultants.
Supervising the production of project drawings and design calculations. Promoting technical excellence on the project, including furthering the Quality Improvement Process. Ensuring that adequate checking is performed in accordance with discipline checking policy and procedures.
Maintaining affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies. Recommending and preparing technical papers.
Advising engineering and project management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could affect project completion and/or profitability.
Initiating and/or reviewing change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.
BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or applicable discipline; or equivalent experience if allowed by law.
10+ years of related onshore work experience including supervisory experience are typically required; relevant professional registration preferred. Engineer must have had experience as a lead engineer or a senior engineer reviewing and checking documents.
Must have Ethylene experience with demonstrated project work.
Supervisor role has full responsibility for assignment of work and performance. Typically supervises professional or exempt personnel that may be in multiple, but similar function roles.
Proficient with engineering software applications; Computer proficiency required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail important.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities somewhat important. The ability to prepare, present and/or supervise the development of complex program proposals and reports to senior level management and customers is critical. Responsible for establishing project estimates and oversight of project budgets.
Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate in English and take a leadership role over the group for which they have supervisory responsibilities.
Commitment to customer service and ability to assist others in applying knowledge and understanding in solving functional problems within area of expertise. Ability to maintain confidential information critical.
Generally characterized as a "Supervising" with ability to discover issues and recommend solutions to business problems uncovered during course of performing assignments. Has less independent contributor responsibilities and more supervisory responsibilities. Provides oversight, expertise and guidance to less experienced individuals.
Typically will regularly interface with departmental staff and upper management, and frequently with outside customers.
